“By the look of it, the Hiway Theatre in Middle River, Maryland, just outside of Baltimore, has been gutted and it looks like the entire block is ready to come [down]. The area has been a problem for Baltimore County and new homes have been popping up in the area. A new shopping strip was just opened next door, and it look slike the old theater, which dates back to the late 1940’s is about to be razed. I have photos if anyone is interested.”

Well that is awefull that the theatre is going to be razed, but I am not familar with the HiWay Theatre, where in Middle River is it located? Also, I would be interested in seeing photo of it.
I don’t have the exact address for the HiWay but it was located on Eastern Ave. If you want a good example what can be done with an old theatre though, Look at what they did with the Hollywood Theatre after the fire in the 90’s. What a beautiful theatre it is today. They incorporated some of the old Hollywood design into the new theatre.
Here’s a look at the Hiway :

Even though the Hiway was located at Eastern & Oroville Rd., the lsited address according to Kilduffs site is 1814 Earhart Rd., Middle River, Md.
