INGLEWOOD, CA — Local Pastor, Rev. Doyle Hart will celebrate his 83rd birthday and 40 years of ministry in the Los Angeles area. Gospel Recording Artist Dorinda Clark-Cole will kick off a day-long celebration recognizing several milestones at Academy Cathedral.

Forty years ago, in 1965, Rev. Doyle Hart moved into a small church in the heart of south Los Angeles with a mission to preach the gospel. Because of his inspiring messages of faith and deliverance, Rev. Hart quickly had a growing congregation to preach to. His heartfelt desire to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and to equip people in the community with the necessary tools to live fulfilling lives was immediately felt by anyone attending services in the church then known as Calvary Temple.

Ten years later the small congregation out grew the building on the corner of Manchester and Broadway, and would move into what was supposed to be the home of the Academy Awards. The Academy Theater in Inglewood, California was about to experience a renaissance of spiritual proportions. That was 30 years ago this week.

On Sunday March 13, 2005, the Academy Cathedral family will kick-off a day long celebration starting at their 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning anniversary service with world renowned gospel recording artist and Stellar Award Winner, Dorinda Clark Cole of the world famous Clark Sisters. Dorinda will minister to the members and friends of Academy in the morning service. Everyone is invited to attend. All seats are free to the morning worship service.

In addition, DORINDA CLARK-COLE will join various dignitaries, community leaders, members and friends as the special guest at the grand eighty-third birthday celebration of Pastor Doyle Hart at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

The ministry of Pastor Hart has touched the lives of thousands of people around the world and even at the age of eighty-three, Pastor Hart continues to minister to the needs of the people. His concern for meeting the needs of the hurting, less fortunate, senior citizens and youth of the community are exhibited in the various outreach ministries of Academy Cathedral.

The public is invited to attend this joyous celebration as the members of Academy Cathedral honor their illustrious pastor.

Academy Cathedral is located at 3141 West Manchester Ave in Inglewood California.

I just watched “The last Action Hero” with Arnold Swartzeneger, does anyone know what old Movie Palace was used in the film?
