Thats great……but why not have these events held in wonderful old Movie Palaces? I think TCM is missing a big opportunity to promote their network as well as do some good PR with the communitys that screen their films.

Watching a classic film like this on a video screen attached to the side of a truck before or after an air show is not my idea of a quality cimematic experience.

It is strange that TCM didn’t try to schedule the Casablanca showing in at least one traditional movie palace. A few years ago they showed the restored print of Casablanca at a theater in Manhattan.

I’m the guy who used to haunt every showing of “Casablanca” whenever possible and drive the audience nuts by delivering all the dialogue along with each character. I’ve “tamed down” now, but I sure wish TCM would schedule a showing in my area!
