BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The Laemmele Music Hall triplex is likely to close in April when its lease is up, primarily as a result of declining patronage, though the property’s owner is reportedly looking for another operator.

The story appeared in LA Weekly.

Would this leave NO movie theatres open to the public in Beverly Hills? If so, that’s pretty shocking.

Well at one point there was plans to put a plex & retail complex near Wilshire and Canon area. But that was well over 10 years ago. The only other theatre still availible in Beverly Hills is the Fine Arts Theatre.

Another one bites the dust and sign of the times. Of course, it was never the same after they plexed it.

The Fine Arts is listed here as closed. Has it reopened?

I missed that the Fine Arts had closed! That’s terrible to hear!

Shame on you, Uncle Carl would be so ashamed, after all better cinema attractions might have made a difference!
