POST FALLS, ID — The Post Falls Theater closed last weekend. The owner blamed a lack of community support for the aging theatre.

Maple Art to close
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI — Landmark Theatres has lost its lease for the Maple Art Theatre and it will close at the end of the month. No word yet on the building’s future but the beloved art house will be missed.

Harbor Theatre closes
MUSKEGON, MI — Like many times before, the Harbor Theatre is closing. Despite the love of so many locals and numerous recent improvements, it just wasn’t enough to keep the theatre going. It’s been dealt some blows before so hopefully it can find a savior again.

Mason movie theater closing
MASON, OH — The RC Kings Island 12 abruptly closed two weeks ago. Rave will still operate its other local theaters.

Malco closes Raleigh Springs theater
MEMPHIS, TN — Malco recently closed its Raleigh Springs Cinema. The early multiplex is one of many tenants of the Raleigh Springs Mall.

Culver Plaza to close
CULVER CITY, CA — A mainstay in Culver City for many years, the discount Culver Plaza Theatres seems to have reached its final shows. One of the best bargains on the Westside will supposedly be converted into condos.

House lights to dim on Stadium Theater
JERSEYVILLE, IL — A mainstay in downtown for over 60 years, the Stadium Theatre will be closing later this week. The twinned theatre has seen many owners over the years, most recently AMC. However, like so many of their theaters lately, due to under-performance, they chose to close it.

Downtown Huntington cinema closes doors
HUNTINGTON, WV — Long mainstay of the Greater Huntington Theater Corp., the discount Cinema Theatre closed its doors last week. They just couldn’t keep the theatre open due to financial reasons. It orginally sat 1,300 before being converted to a multiplex. A sad chapter for the theatre that even pre-dated the Keith-Albee.

Prime 11 Cinemas abruptly closes
ANDERSON, CA — After receiving an eviction notice a couple weeks back, Prime 11 Cinemas closed its doors last week. Besides leaving its workers without jobs, the loss of the major tenant could greatly affect the already struggling Shasta Outlets where it’s located.
