Sloped floor solution
I am looking for the least expensive method of leveling out a sloped floor in a theater I am looking to purchase. As this is a multi-screen building, my plan is to utilize part of the building for other venues and keep a few of the theater rooms as is so movies can be shown. Any ideas in regards to wood flooring, steel supports etc.

Theater Technician Needed

Theater restoration questions
We are in the process of purchasing a theatre involved in a tax forclosure. While feel sorry for the original owner, we are excited at the same time about making this beautiful theatre into a destination place of music, comedy, poetry slams, educational performances for local schools, and more music!
While we are excited about the possibilities we are worried about 1)Finding the right contractors with enough experience in historical buildings and 2)Adding a marquee for advertising events whithout interferring with the original look of the building.
The current owner has an active website that everyone should look at. It’s a beautiful building. Any ideas?

Fenelon Theatre looking for investor
FENELON FALLS, ONTARIO, CANADA — We purchased the histroic Fenelon Theatre in 2003. A fantastic example of mid century(c. 1948) neo deco Cinema. We have added a live venue aspect with staging, lightin,audio, etc.
Currently seeking a partner investor, or other involvement. Right in the heart of cottage country, 2 hours north of Toronto in the beautiful Kawartha Lakes.
We have had two successful summer seasons with Music, Theatre and Comedy (Second City etc.)

Charles H Goulding - 1900’s theater manager
I have recently acquired a number of very old scrapbooks that originally belonged to Charles H. Goulding and am interested in locating any surviving family members who may wish to have them. The scrapbooks include newspaper clippings, photographs and personal correspondence.
Mr. Goulding had a long and complicated career managing theaters throughout New York State in the 1910s through the 1930s, from what i have found so far. He was the opening manager of the Eastman Theater in Rochester, NY in 1922. He also managed the Rochester Theater in Rochester, NY and for many years managed the Proctor’s Theater in Troy, NY on two separate occassions.
From some of the correspondence I picked up the name “Jess” as associated with him. Whether “Jess” is a man or woman is unclear. Wife? Son? Friend?
I know this is a shot in the dark, but if anyone has any information on Charles H. Goulding, please .

Ukiah Theatre
Hello out there,
Research is currently being done in regards to archtiect William B. David. I am looking for information regarding his possibly designing the Ukiah Theatre, in Ukiah, California.
The Ukiah was initaly designed in 1941 but was not built until 1948 because of WWII. It was built for Trinity Theaters, which was owned by George Mann (which I think was an off shoot of Redwood Theatres seeing that after it was built, Redwood is listed as owner and Redwood was owned by Mann). The Ukiah is listed in “The Show Starts on the Sidewalk” as being designed by the firm of S. Charles Lee in 1941.
I am looking for any documentation confirming that David designed it, or if it indeed was designed by the Lee firm(seeing that David had left the firm in the late ‘30s). Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you know where the S. Charles Lee archives might be I would greatly appreciate it as well.
