PITTSBURG, CA — There will be a gala on January 19 to celebrate to reopening of the California Theatre. They’ve sunk $7.6 Million into it to restore the murals and bring the theatre back to its original appearance. The city-owned building hasn’t hired an operator yet but this sounds like a great new chapter for it after sitting empty for almost 60 years!

FORT MYERS, FL — The Edison Park 8 has been closed for years but it’s making a comeback later this month. The owner struggled to find investors before he eventually threw in his own money to modernize and reopen the theatre.

KANSAS CITY, MO — The conversion of the Mainstreet Cinema is complete with Alamo Drafthouse reopening the theatre. All screens now feature their signature dining options with themed menus and events upcoming.

EPPING, NH — The new 12-screen O'Neil Cinemas opened in Brickyard Square last weekend. They feature all-digital projection as well as D-Box seating in select auditoriums.
