Will need :

1 new sound system
Cost of film rentalsTheatre and seats were remodeled recently they are in good shape. HVAC and building are in good shape.
Looking for an idea of a basic startup cost to get the theatre up and rolling again. It’s a small town of 5,000.

Advice on a theme theater
I am not sure if I am posting in the right place, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with theme theaters.
I happen to love horror movies and think that it would be really cool to have a movie theater that plays only horror movies — old ones, new ones, classics. Unfortunately, I have no idea if this is really a feasible idea or if I would have to find a balance of popular movies and horror movies to pay the bills. Any advice?
Also, I am curious to know what the average cost of getting copies of older movies from distributors. I would appreciate any help. Please contact me at .
Thanks!!

Smell-O-Vision making a comeback?
According to a report from the BBC, a Japanese firm has developed a fragrance machine for movies similar to the infamous Smell-O-Vision system of 1960.
Screenings of Colin Farrell’s latest film will be accompanied by a series of smells at a cinema in Japan.
Seven fragrances will waft from machines under back row seats during historical adventure The New World.
A floral smell will accompany love scenes, with a mixture of peppermint and rosemary for tear-jerking moments.
Cinemas across the country will be able to download programmes to control various sequences of fragrances for other upcoming films.

Village Art Theatre may close
CHICAGO, IL — The Village Art is rumored to be closing soon.
A “For Rent Summer 2006” sign has gone up over the marquee. I have heard nothing about why this theater is closing — it is a very popular place. Perhaps they’ve lost their lease or (more likely) someone wants to build condos on the site.
The chain for the Village Art should be listed as ‘Village Theatres’ and the website is www.villagetheatres.com and any information on this theater closing is appreciated.

40 theater seats for sale
DALLAS, TX — We have only 40 theater seats left of the chairs that came out of theater in El Paso, Texas.
They come in rows of 20 and the price is $11.99 per chair. They have springs and are solid metal. Tan in color with old dusty fabric, but easy to recover and will last forever. The legs are solid and the seats are even adjustable as far as how fast you want them to return to the upright position. Pretty fun stuff.
Have a question email us at or call 214 570 1923. We are in Dallas, Texas. Thanks, everyone. Also I am looking for cup holders in good shape.
