Brian Williams of NBC new did part of his broadcast in front of the Imax theatre this evening. They showed workmen repairing the neon and he stated that they were working hard to get the theatre back up and running.
I agree with markp and their website says they are hoping to reopen on Friday 24th but that is not for sure, It says to check back. I don’t see how they would have the power back up and running for a Friday reopening, and what about the damage to the front entrance of the building.
According to CNN this theatre was heavily damaged by the tornado today. Overhead video from a news helicopter showed the theatre from the air. From the looks of things it seems that it will have to be totally rebuilt.

Scott, good question but the archives for the Daily Progess (1951) show ads for the Jackson Theatre at the same address. Byron Bailey founded Foothills Entertainment in 1985. It could be that he took the old theatre and renovated into the three modern cinemas that exist today.

Not many domes left. I know that the Century 21 in Salt Lake City was demolished in 1998.
