Next door (right of Cherokee) stands the old Royal Theatre.

Located in the 300 block of N. Main, the decorative tile roof and marquee have been removed, but the white and powder blue structure (photo left) still looks a lot like it did in the 1940s.

You’re probably right, Chuck, most likely this was only a nickelodeon operation. Looks as if these days Morrison is no more than a railroad junction.

Located at 116 S. Main St., today the former Elk Theatre is flower shop named Floral Expressions. The facade has been greatly modernized from its original Art Deco design.

The Broadway building still stands at Broadway and Jefferson, though greatly altered. Today it is a law frim styled in Art Deco.

Perusing google maps, the Barnsdall Theatre is an attractive three story structure located on main & 5th. An extremely long auditorium runs along 5th St., but shows no evidence of having a balcony.
