The Wells Fargo bank building at 217 W Forsyth appears to have been a good-sized theatre previously. Blank sides and ground level exit doors are a clue.
Currently shut down due to the Covid pandemic. It is questionable whether it will ever reopen, with plans to redevelop the East Towne area. These plans include taking down the mall where the theatre is located.

The theatre is permanently closed. It has a new owner and all the interior furnishings are being sold off. Looks like a gut rehab with no plans to do any kind of theatre activities. Check out the website link for info.
The exterior of the theatre also appears in the 1973 film “Invasion of the Bee Girls.”
