April 28, 2016: the interior has been stripped out, revealing the two oddly shaped auditoriums. Projectors and other equipment is stacked up in the former lobby. Cruised through Farmington recently. The colorful Allen Theatre facade is now – and apparently has been for years – a marquee for movies playing at the circuit’s other venues.

Just read in the local paper that in April 2016 Tucumcari will be celebrating Rawhide Days, in honor of the classic TV western series. Location filming for the show took place near Tucumcari. The Odeon Theatre has offered to screen episodes of the series on their big screen. Series star Clint Eastwood has been invited to attend.
