Several of the screens are now digital, with some of them showing 3D movies. A little too late to compete against Edgewater and Secaucus.

AMC should close this theater and build a new one from the ground up in order to compete against surrounding theaters in the meadowlands area.

I think since the theater opened, “Titanic” had the longest run of any movie in its history.

Slimshady, is there any news that digital projection will be installed at this theater by this summer or fall? It needs to have 3D in order to compete against Edgewater and Paramus and Secacus.

Seems that this theater is showing some interesting films from asia…this is something Rockaway might look at in the future….when will 3d be installed at this theater? This theater is big enough for a digital IMAX to be installed at the biggest screen.

With the closing of the Meadows Six and Plaza 8, this theater as well as Jersey Gardens and Newport Center are the only AMC/Loews/Cineplex theaters left around the Hudson/Bergen area.

if this theater gets 4k, then it will be worth the wait for those who go there, especially my former high school friends who go to Ridgefield High School.

a korean movie premiered exclusively at this theatre, the only one in the country and the first korean movie to be shown, according to the ny times. theater 4, the large one, was packed with a mostly korean american audience who watched the movie for one night only.

that’s good news…I never been to this theater even though I used to attend schools in Ridgefield. This theater usually is packed with students from the Ridgefield School District as well as Ridgefield Park and surrounding communities.

they bought another lease. that’s illegal to void that contract. he will have to wait till the deadline… and there isn’t going to be someone else paying more for the reason that there’s more land that is cheaper, without a building on it, in that area.

it’s not.. it’s just temporary… If the landlord finds someone else whose willing to pay more than what AMC is paying, he’s going to kick AMC out…. how are you going to tell me when I work for the company dude.

this theater has a new lease for another year so its not “expected” to close down… get your facts straight

except this theatre to be closed before this year ends..

It’s my speculation. This theater is still the only theater left in Ridgefield Park after the closing of the Rialto late last year. The businesses surrounding the theater have changed, but the place hasn’t.
