Really in the city limits, held out until the late 70’s when Section 8 apts nearby pretty much closed it up…sad.
If you go to GENERAL CINEMA MEMORIES on FACEBOOK there is a nice video of the cinemas before they closed, the REGENCY TRIPLE is also shown there..
GREENWOOD brave, REGENCY TRIPLE is now on Facebook, plenty of ads, pictures and stories..
just added this theatre on Facebook, even though I never worked there a lot of locals were wanting it added, still wish I had more pictures of the theatre itself.
I HATE PROGRESS…..

PITY the Downtown, or UPTOWN as you guys say, THEATRES were lost…a pity..

did snatch a few old speakers and a splicer underneath the marquee..
the third screen was up on a hill, looked liked several pieces of plywood nailed together, what a sad joke.

oh no. ZEBULONGRANDY….
when it is finally torn down will report it…..
just got a call from my cousin Ray, seems the Hendersonville Police called him to inform him a large tarp was reported blowing off the roof. Now Ray had been gone for years and the place as been closed for years,He had no idea how they ended up calling him, I figured one of the cops must have remembered him as manager.Well, it wasn’t a tarp, but a whole section of the rubber roof coating flapping in the wind.. the landlord told Ray they will probably tear old four plex down,,,soon.
wow, nice add to the CT page…
bet with digital now it is closed CHUCK..
