We’ll use this site to introduce our business and explain the goods and services we have to offer. The Drive-In opened in 1946. The screen used to sit on the south side of the property until a tornado came through, and when the owners (at that time) rebuilt they moved it to it’s current location on the west side. We have the capacity for over 300 cars in an evening. We have a large selection of food items at our concession stand along with the traditional Movie Loves of Fresh Popcorn, Soda and Candy; you can get a variety of sandwiches, we also have a fresh vegi box with ranch dipping sauce for the more healthy alternative.
Here is there website:http://www.melsdrive-intheatre.com/
Still open in Sept. 1985

Yup…It is closed!! That is the problem in small community’s, there just was not enough business to switch to digital projection. After reading some FB posts, I think maybe they quit to soon. You lease projectors now.

My thinking is maybe they moved the Roosevelt Drive-In for some reason??

After looking at the pictures of the drive-in, I would think not. I think they are on a tight budget. The Field of Dreams in Liberty Center,Ohio has a old box van has a snack bar.
Hoping to raise money for new digital projector with Kickstarter
All that is left standing is the marquee in the middle of a field. Hopefully somebody will save it.
