I’m surprised that they did not twin or triple the DI in the later years.
They must have up-graded the screen tower to screen Cinema-Scope pictures after this picture was taken.

All the doors and gates were locked up with no trespassing signs posted. I did once and got busted at another DI…LOL!!
Uploaded some pictures. The DI is in poor condition and for sale.
Uploaded a picture of a drive-in speaker from the Lima Speaker Co.
Here is the correct address:
Missouri 76 & W Rockford Drive, Branson, MO 65616
I believe this is a good address:
229 Lincoln Dr, Shinnston, WV 26431
The screen tower looks like it has some holes init.
Some information from the net.
Not sure if you are aware of this old track or not. It sat right behind where the current Lincoln High School sets in Shinnston on property owned by George Rice who owned a drug store in Shinnston. It was one of the most unique facilities I have ever seen to this day. It was both a drive in theater and ¼ mile dirt race track, a real multi use facility back in the middle of the 50’s.. The concession stand was under the screen and also served as the concession stand for the track on nights (or days) the track operated.

Was this the Route 29 Drive-In at one time?
Thanks..I wish I had some pictures of it when it first open in 1941. I bet it had outside blast speakers.
Uploaded some new pictures of the Stockade Auto-Torium. I think they are from the late 1950’s. It looks like they are repairing part of the fence.
Here is a good address: 541 S Timberland Dr. Lufkin, TX 75901
I believe you post the later Albany DI to its own page and label it Albany DI (2) since it was moved to a different location.
bassale..the DI on Long Beach was the Wayside DI. It is on CT.
You can see the dividing wall going down the center of the drive-in. That was for the white section and the black section.
200 Interstate 20 Service Rd Odessa, TX 79766
Was this called Video Park Drive-In at one time?
The correct address is:
3801 Andrews Highway, Odessa, TX 79762
The address is Frontage Rd. That is has close as I can get.
2620 S. 77 Sunshine Strip, Harlingen, TX 78550 is the correct address. When the DI was built Camelot Dr. was not there. The entrance to the DI was off of 77 Sunshine Strip.
Here is the address for the Citrus DI:
2430 U.S. 77, San Benito, TX 78586
402 Dixieland Road, Harlingen, TX 78552. In looking at aerials it looks like it was closed by 1962. Most of the drive-in theatre is under RT 2 now.
