Right across from barnes nobles formly LP theater was Movies Unlimited. I bought lots of movies there that you couldnt get anywhere else. They would special order stuff. I think they lasted until 2000 or 2001…
This theater actually closed in January of 1992….
ok, got my answer here. The theater closed on October 20th 1991. the last 3 movies that shown here were these,Dead Again.necessary roughness.and a movie called :Shout:
i’ll try and pinpoint it.. when i go to library and find out what the last 2 movies that shown there were, and i will take some snapshots of it today…
i would love to know when this theater actually closed. marple 10 right down the street opened in nov of 90.. so i wonder if this theater closed soon after or before… ? i wil do some research soon..
Seen alot of movies here… When the Omen played here in 76. it was only a twin. Also, Back to the future made this theater alot of money in the summer of 1985…. it played there for months…
Lots of movies played here. to name a few.

Strange Brew 1983,
return of the jedi. 83
Bad influence 1990.
Rocky III 82
Jason goes to hell 1993.
Problem Child 1990.
Private school 1983
House on sorority row 1983.
The Omen 1976.
Flesh gordon 197??
Closed in early 1995 , sat empty for almost 2 years and is now a turf club..
wow, a 20 year run. not bad..
The Breakfast Club also played here in spring of 1985.
Man,, i was there tonight at the barnes and nobles where it once stood. Can’t belive they twinned that big screen. must have been the late 70’s can anyone confirm around when that would have been??
tinseltoes. great find. i never seen the theater before. always heard about it.. wow. it looked really big..
Anyway. did some more research.. In summe of 1985,
Rambo- First Blood Part 2 and LifeForce both played here….
Nightmare on elm street played here for like a week in july of 85…
I beleive some dirty harry movies shown here in the early 70’s
research i did was that 1983 was the last season. Another thing is. they showed almost every low budget horror movie that come along..Looks like it was the horror movie drive -in. to name a few,
dont go in the house.
the fifth floor.
the boogey man…
to name a few…
the more research i do for this drive-in appears that it may have closed in 1980… cant find any ads for it for 81 and 82 in the paper ads…
Final Exam played here in June of 81…
research i conducted is that the theater closed in 1983. can’t find any ads for it after that.. if this photo is from the mid 80’s it would make sense.. Lots of low budget horror b flicks shown here during the late 70’s early 80’s..
think this drive closed in 1983.. dont see any more ads past that year for it..
This theater never really shown any horror movies, they mainly stuck to dramas and comedy’s and some sci-fi’s too.. Not sure when it left the shopping center. somewhere between 89-90 something.. i first visited the barnes and nobles in fall of 95. it was gone by then .
May 4th, 1984
actually this is Spring of 90.
