Closed down as Bow in 1961 and reopened as Fox again on December 21st, 1962. Grand opening ad in the photo section. In 1978 Mann sells their theatres in the area to Carisch theatres and closed down in 1981. It reopened under new management in 1982 and split into two cinemas opening on August 1st, 1984.

Found more information for this cinema. * November 16th, 1984 opened as a twin cinema

  • January 30th, 1987 3rd screen added

  • July 23rd, 1993 6 screens

  • March 16th, 2001 expanded to 10 screens as the theatre gets its Egyptian theme.

  • January 31st, 2003 11th screen opened

  • December 14th, 2005 expanded to 15 screens including the “Pharaoh’s theatre” in cinema 15.

  • 2014 22 screens becoming the largest cinema complex in the state.

  • June 28th, 1985 opens as a triple theatre by Midco as the Gateway Triple

  • July 1st, 1994 expands to 8 screens as it is renamed Midco 8

  • 1995 Midco sells it to Carmike Cinemas

  • July 15th, 1998 renamed Carmike 8 Cinemas

  • 2016 taken over by AMC Theatres

  • Early 2017 renamed AMC Classic Bismarck 8
