A 2007 shot of the exterior – the nightclub has now closed, and the Majestic is rumoured to become a Casino, this may well involve restoring the interior.
The Kingswest Centre containing the Odeon cinema complex was not the site of the former Odeon Palladium. The Brighton Centre occupies the Palladium site.

Correction to the above information – the Kingswest Centre is not on the site of the former Opera House / Palladium / Odeon, It is the Brighton Centre (Conference venue and Concert Hall) which occupies the site of this former Frank Matcham designed theatre.

It was all renewed 3 years ago with “state of the art” facilities – but every one says that!
I can try and find out for you.
This part of the comments would be better on the Futurist page rather than the Odeon Leicester Square.
A couple of recent exteriors so you can judge for yourself about the new look marquee:–
Not true – Harry Potter is on at present.
The theatre has a 6 week summer season of live shows – with films in the afternoons and one evening a week.
Outside this it is a cinema 95% of the time with occasional one night live performances.

Yes Tim! I am THAT Ian !!!! (aka stagedoor on flickr for the closing night pics). Your group certainly made a spectacular entrance – added a showmanship style sadly lacking from Odeon for the occasion.
To quote from ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, Kev, “From your mouth to God’s ears”
Excellent news! Any news on the opening date?

A report from the Cinema Theatre Association, who put the Odeon forward for an urgent spot-listing, states that:–
“We were completely shocked and horrified to discover from the English Heritage inspector that most of the interior decoration had been deliberately trashed in a targeted removal of anything of architectural merit.”
