Just the Grauman;s…..
70,000 ON XMEN THE BEST GROSS IN A WEEK IN A LONG TIME..
I like this theater usually a very good presentation.
This theater needs to do 30,000 to 40,0000 a week to make money. Its dong $ 2,000 to 3,000 a week…. No future for movies unless they have a new concept.
Not doing very well— nice theater
Now HALF MOON OUTFITTERS….
NOW BOOKED BY ;FURLINGERCINEMASERVICES.COM
NEW NAME – HIPPODROME WIDESCREEN AND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
TERRACE HIPPODROME WAS ALSO SOLD 12/31/2010
THEATER WAS SOLD -JANUARY 2011.
It lives on and on!
There are many weeks the main auditorium grosses well below $3,000 for the week …
The theater was next to a pharmacy then fabric shop then Woolworths. Fanny Farmer was the last store at the end of the strip next to Sears .(Sears then became Pathmark)
no one gives a shit about old theaters================
YOU ARE SO CORRECT—–
I TRIED TO GET THIS THEATER LAST YEAR— $9,000 A MONTH TO RENT THIS DUMB AND THEY WONT BUDGE,
Nothing more going on theHippodrome is having a tough time as are mist single screens. The terrace is one of the busiest mom and pop theaters in the nation.
just found an old pic of the york outer lobby as you approach the box office …..has to be from the early 70s.
Find your niche and you can do it. We compete with 97 screens all chains,It can be done and well.
BYE ,BYE IMAX—-JUST A MATTER OF TIME……….
See my post July 2006.
What a shame to see this for sale. It was so cool the way it was before the big move .I have sent many people to there web site as to show people “how its done”.Over the last 16 months you can see they have lost there fire. The web site was not as cool and they did not keep it up like they use to. I have never been to this theater but have admired it from a far.
Yes we have sold as of 4/2/2010——-We had a great run ….GOOD LUCK TO PAUL AND BARBARA!
