Thanks for the link Tinseltoes,The Belle Meade was the sister theatre of the Melrose,A.K.A. Loews Melrose when i worked there.They were built around the same time and very simular in design.The Melrose building is still standing also.
Nice 1927 ad posted on the photo page today.
Right before Marcus Loew passed away,the next month.

From what i have read Loews bought this theatre in 1920 and ran it till it burned in August 1967.
From an ad in this weeks Nashville Scene.J.D.Souther in concert Saturday May 5 at 8:00 P.M.Marc Cohn Friday May 11 at 8 P.M.Friday May 18th.Blind Boys of Alabama,Madeleine Peyroux May 19th.Glenn Miller Orchestra May 26 at 3 P.M. and 8:P.M.

Texting and cell phone use is a problem everywhere people are so absorbed with their phones and other devices everywhere blocking lines in stores, banks,resturants,ect.Why pay high ticket prices to see a movie in a theatre and “PLAY” with you phone the whole time.Seems folks cannot do without their phones for even two hours.Sad indeed.
