Introduction

An overview of our terms of use

As part of the new version of the Add-A-Theater and Add-A-Photo areas, we've made several changes to our content submission policies that will help us expand our theater preservation efforts, and help insure that our site can continue operating successfully.

As those of you who worked with us on our Top 10 list of theaters for USA Today or helped us promote classic movie theaters for the official website of "The Majestic" know, we often work with the media to promote this invaluable cause.

Additionally, as we expand into other projects such as books and documentaries, we'd like to offer you the opportunity to be a part of these endeavors—without annoying you with innumerable emails asking to use your content.

Since our site relies so greatly on your contributions, we've worked hard to strike a reasonable balance between our needs as a website and organization, the needs of other pro-theater-preservation parties we work with, and the needs (and rights) of contributors who have submitted photographs and other content.

For non-photograph content such as theater submissions and comments, we ask for a non-exclusive right to use any information you submit to us.

For photographic content, we ask for the right to use your images on our website (as we have all along), as well as the right to use your photos for publicity and marketing efforts. Additionally, at your choosing, you may allow Cinema Treasures to use your imagery for additional purposes, such as inclusion in future book or documentary projects.

These are significant changes, so please take a moment to review our terms of use, as well as our Legal FAQ page.

We'd like to thank you in advance for trusting us to use your invaluable material in a responsible and productive way that will help keep Cinema Treasures and the "Cinema Treasures" we're fighting to save around for a long, long time.

If you have any questions about content you have previously submitted, please feel free to contact us. For any further information about your rights under our content submission agreement, we recommend you speak to your attorney.

Thank you,
Cinema Treasures
