Stories from Ontario's Movie Theatres

The theatre regulatory files held by the Archives of Ontario tell the many stories of individual theatres and offer clues for tracing the evolution of social attitudes: including unexpected revelations about the social mores of an earlier time. This virtual Exhibit takes the visitor through theatre and movie history in Ontario. The exhibit is available in both English and French.

Fox Theater Phoenix, Art Deco Palace

Most extensive site of any theater with three pages of photos. This was the only Art Deco theater ever built in Phoenix. Demolished for a city bus terminal in 1975.
