Michigan Drive-Ins
This is an excellent site with comprehensive photos and information concerning drive-ins in Detroit as well as the rest of the state.
Detroit Movie Palaces
The Detroit area is blessed with three beautiful old movie theaters that were built in the 1920’s and still show films—the Detroit Film Theatre, the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, and the Redford Theatre in Detroit. Each theater is a good example of how a classic film theater can be supported: through an art museum (the Detroit Film Theatre), through a college community (the Michigan Theater), and through donations and volunteer work (the Redford Theatre).
