We had a cousin who was a manager for Lowes Theaters. On Saturday nights my father would load us into the car and take us to whatever theater he was working to see the last show. This was so we could see a free movie, and be able to give him a lift home in Coney Island, so he would not have to take the subway late at night. I saw many movies in the Triboro. Once during a boring movie, I started staring at the ceiling and noticed it looked like the clouds on the ceiling were moving. I could never figure out how they did that.

Although I lived in Brooklyn, on Saturday nights my parents would take us to the Triboro. My mother had a cousin who was a manager for Loews. He lived in Coney Island and did not drive. What ever Loews theater he worked at. 86th St(Manhattan),Alpine(Bay Ridge), Kings(Brooklyn), Pitkin(Brooklyn), my parents would go to the last show, see the movie for free, and give him a ride home.

I remember the ceiling of the Triboro had clouds that seemed to move. I could never figure out how they did that

I lived in Strauss between Livonia and Riverdale till 1961. I was not allowed to cross the street, but was able to go across Livonia and Saratoga by using the Saratoga Station stairs. Unfortunately there were only three staircases and could not go to the Ambassador on my own.
