The the last few years of its existence, it became somewhat of an art house. I remember seeing Gods & Monsters and The Wedding Banquet there. In addition, I remember 1 screen was devote to Indian films. Correct me if I’m wrong.
You can see a bit of the Tiffany and the Rocky Horror marquee in Valley Girl. It’s when Nicolas Cage takes Deborah (don’t remember her last name) into Hollywood for the first time. It’s part of a montage.

done480—just went to the Tomkat (now Studs) a few days ago for the first time in 5 years. They are now showing both gay and straight porn. The main auditorium has been divided up into 3 small theatres and 1 large one. They all show gay porn.
The old lounge area has now been converted to a small room showing straight porn.

When to Pho 78 today and notices this theatre. It’s definitely still there, but shuttered. Will see if I can get some pic next time.
