This was indeed an eight-screen multiplex, not a ten-screen. It is also demolished, not simply closed. It opened in November 1993 under the managment of Aroostook Centre Theaters, Inc. In April of 1995, during lease negotiations with the Aroostook Centre Mall, the company filed for Chapter 11 and the theater closed in July. Hoyts took over managment and operation resumed in August 1995. The theater closed again in August 2005 and was demolished in November-December 2005 to make way for a Lowe’s Home Improvement that opened in October 2006.
