Dickinson actually purchased the theatre in 1966. I remember the first movie that played there was Elvis Presley in PARADISE HAWAIIAN STYLE.
OK roadshow runs in KC. I know I went to all of them just about. Still have a buncha programs from them someplace.

West Side Story did play the Plaza – unusual booking and Lawrence of Arabia played at a theatre called the Saxon according to the KC Star (even tho is was on strike at the time of the run) and
