The UA Skillman opened May 23, 1979 just off of 635 at Skillman Street. The theater’s experience is best exemplified by UA putting Dolby stereo in just two of the auditoriums. The non-descript location provided UA with coin for most of what was likely a 15-year lease. Cinemark ran the theater through 1997 to its closure. It was retrofitted as retail space.
