  • <p>Eastside Drive-In 15 Acorn Drive, Warrane, TAS</p> <p>Newspaper extract - Ye Olde Tasmania Facebook group.</p> <p>The Eastside Drive In Theatre was one of two Drive Ins built in Hobart. It was located behind the eastern shore suburb of Warrane. This article was published in the Mercury Newspaper just before the opening night in 1966. The opening film was The Sound Of Music. The Eastside Drive In operated from 1966 with a capacity of 418 cars.
