Orpheum Theatre Street Hawker - 1945
Pictured is a young man hired by the Orpheum theatre as a human billboard. He is dressed like Santa Claus and patrols the sidewalk in front of the theatre to advertise the coming movie “Bells of St. Mary’s.” The Oscar winning film starred Bing Crosby and Ingrid Bergman and is a Christmas classic from 1945.
