RKO Orpheum Marquee - Dick Clark’s Caravan of Stars
Pictured is the marquee of Davenport’s RKO Orpheum as music fans wait for the doors to open to Dick Clark’s Caravan of Stars program in 1964. The artists included Fabian, Gene Pitney, Major Lance, Brian Hyland, The Crystals, The Chicago Kasuals (the tour house band), The Rip Chords, The Reflections, George McGannon III, The Premiers, The Dixie Cups, Round Robin, The Jelly Beans, Mike Clifford and Bobby Freeman.
