The RKO Orpheum Theatre Marquee - Liberace - All Sold Out

Liberace played the RKO Orpheum on October 2, 1962 to a sold out audience. Others who played the RKO in 1962 included Al Hirt, Jimmy Dean, the Limelighters, Johnny Cash, Dave Brubeck, the Smothers Brothers, Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians and Roger Williams.

Due to popular demand, Liberace did a return engagement at the RKO on Tuesday, October 29, 1963.

Strange but True! In 1954, Liberace, the pianist who parlayed a candelabra, a smile and wavy hair into a small fortune, was named “Pickle Man of the Year,” by the National Pickle Packers Association. He was obviously high on the list with Pickle Packers.
