I always think of this place and the old Peaches record store nearby together. Usually I would visit both places when I went to the movies here. I remember seeing Harold & Maude here.
I saw alot of second run movies there: 9 to 5, Black Stallion, How to Beat the High Cost of Living..
This theater was the place for midnight movies every weekend in the 1980s. They always were showing Rocky Horror, Heavy Metal, Dawn of the Dead, The Wall, etc. I also saw Creepshow there.
They always had a weird selection of movies playing there. Here are a few I saw: Roadie, My Bodyguard, The Capture of Bigfoot. And there was ice skating downstairs!
I remember the big glasssy lobby. I saw alot of movies here: E.T. (sneak preview), Superman II.
Man, I saw lots of movies here in the early 80s: Every Which Way But Loose, Flash Gordon, Airplane 2…
I remember seeing Mountain Family Robinson here, mustve been around 1980.
Living in the area, I went to many movies here as a kid. I know it was open as late as 1983 or 84. Some of the movies I saw there were: Inframan, Planet of the Dinosaurs, Piranha 2: The Spawning, Risky Business
