Originally opened as the Chateau Theatre (Single Screen) in October of 1965. Two more screens were added sometime in the 1970’s. The Chateau was Closed only to reopen as the Everest Theater in 1998. The Everest Theater. (Closed).. It was either kept open or re-opened as it’s known today, the FunAsia Theatre, showing Indian movies. This Theatre is located in the Plymouth Park Shopping Strip in Irving Texas. Open.. The structure was built circa 1964/65..
