In 1925, the Florence Theatre in Pasadena brings in two race cars to promote “California Straight Ahead.” Manager Tom F. McDonald (behind the seven car) puts a giant arrow as a marquee topper with motor spinning throughout the day and night. The well-placed and popular Florence Sweet Shop is also visible at right.
