While the theatre was struggling under bankruptcy at the height of the depression in March, 1932, this Karloff classic was being exhibited on the screen. “Frankenstein” premiered November 21, 1931, while its NYC engagement on Broadway began that December 4th. I presume this would have been among the last stops on the distribution road for the classic shocker on its initial release.
