The Berkeley, in about 1983. This shows the facade remodel designed by S. Charles Lee in the 1930s–minus the vertical sign and neon clock on the marquee, and with the metallic marquee soffit fascia and earth toned color scheme added shortly before this photo was taken. This would be the theater’s appearance until its 1990s demolition.
