This assembly of three photos from around 1972 show Tottenham Court Road from Stephen Street on the left to Percy Street on the right. The Carlton is on the left at number 30, the Metropole towards the right at number 36. The final two buildings on the right (Alpina and Lawrence & Lawrence) still stand and are (2019) now You Me Sushi and iSmash.
The present buildings on TCR are indicated in red under their respective positions. The Odeon replaced the Continentale, not the Gala Berkeley.
