Wonderful annual Black Bear Film Festival held the third weekend of October (usually Thursday-Sunday), in this historic theatre in historic Victorian village next to the Delaware River (75 miles from NYC). Many free films and lectures as well as the ticketed main independent films in the theatre. Tickets go on sale around mid-September. Opening night Gala on the Friday of the Festival.
Largest single screen in the area. New screen was purchased for the theatre in 2003 by supporters of the Black Bear Film Festival.
Theatre is (usually) open year-round. While the paint peels, there is still a classic neon marquee and interior.
