i looked in old rapid city journals from the 70s and this drive in was playing werewolves on wheels and other greats from that time

this theater was burned down in 1996 in a fire, it was a club for a while called the rush that punk bands played at even d.o.a played here in the 90s

this theater is still in hotsprings and still shows films, although it is really old and run down

i am not 100 percent for sure but i do think that the marquee was from the starlight drive in theater and was moved here in the 70s or 80s after the starlight closed down.the theater for years was known as the northgate theater, it was a dollar dump for while and really became a dump. than in 2000 or so its named changed to the stargate
i really miss this place . rip
