I should also mention that the kids there had necking contests and I won once. They had a soda machine in the lobby that dropped a paper cup down and filled up with soda. For a quarter you could see two movies, get popcorn and a soda. Great memories
I grew up a few blocks from this theater and went there every weekend for years. When I was in grade school all of us kids went there every Sunday afternoon for the double feature.
I passed by there last week and it isn’t a church anymore. It’s empty.
