Not good news. This theatre has the original half moon designed glass doors. Please save this cinema treasure by forming a Friends of the West Shore.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Interesting to read about the Robins Theatre in Warren Ohio and their Robins Project.
Short sighted politicians cost the area a beautifully restored Oriental due to parking issues? Shame.
I suppose they are. Love the humor.
And the congregation members are called elevators!
Glad to learn THS owns it and has their headquarters in Pittsburgh now.
Just learned of this single screen theatre. Thank you Friends of the Hollywood.
Yes. It is a wonderful venue.
This theatre was saved by the community and not made into
a parking lot. A beautiful story that will allow the residents to enjoy their art deco gem for generations to come.
Such a shame this theatre and the family who owned it didn’t work with the locals to save it.
Sorry to read that it is now closed.
Nice to read about stained glass being returned.
Any restoration updates would be greatly appreciated.
Joe: Thank you for the additional information.
