A very neat drive in. At one time the drive in had a small zoo with animals. The back of the screen with the lights was a nice orange and green color I believe. Very nice. When someone went to the Buckhorn, the ticket takers handed you calendars with the movies being shown that month.
This place had a concession stand located right as you entered the drive in, but later it was moved to a bigger walk in area. It had great food. The french fries were awesome, so were the cheeseburgers. And the pizza was the best. Don’t remember ever getting popcorn there.

The theatre I believe was owned by Hall Industries, which owned other movie theatres in the area like Kingsville, Beeville and some others. It went through a nice remodeling job in 1968 or 1969 and looked fairly decent. Before then, it was a different story. At one time it had doors with windows, but you could only see by looking out.
