Near Miami Dade Community College North Campus, anybody know the name of the drive in theatre between NW 119 St and NW 135 St on NW 27 th Ave? I remember it was a XXX Adult drive in theatre then became an Used Car lot in the 80’s.

In addition to my comments(two years ago), I remember they would show The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturdays at midnight. After you passed the doors, black and white pictures of the movie was in glass display case on the right.

My parents finally confessed to us (my sister and I) a couple of years ago, that after we zonked out, they would sneaked out the house and go to this theatre. They saw James Bond’s Moonraker in the seventies. I never had the chance to go to this theatre but on the way to the beach, I loved the outside architecture and sign. Sign is similar to the one at The Mall at 163rd in North Miami Beach but smaller. Anyone have a picture of this theatre?

Remember getting there early, buying my ticket and go next door to the Spec’s record store. What memories! Also, just down the street my parents would take us to Figaro’s Pizza. Loved that place!

Remembered seeing “Porky’s”, All of the Star Wars movies, “Firefox” and “Hot Stuff”(filmed in Miami) there. It’s sad to see that it’s a parking lot for Home Depot.

Wow! What memories. Downstairs had excellent game rooms, remember at least 10-12 PAC-Man’s located across one wall. Saw “Red Dawn” there back in 1984 with my homies. Sad that it’s now closed.

Remember “The Police” performing there in the early 80’s. Footage of that concert is released under “Police Live” DVD. Also, worked for Univision and did a lot of live special events. Great venue!

Great theatre. I remember back in the early 80’s looking at “Silent Rage” which stars Chuck Norris and Swiss Family Robinson. Any more news on this theatre?

Never will forget this theatre. I remember this theatre was packed when a low budget film called “Camp Sleepaway” scared the living crap out of me and showed a surprise ending. Here’s what I know abou t the theatre. Back in the Miami Vice era in the mid 80’s, actor Phillip Michael Thomas bought the property and turned into a recording studio.

Excellent site. Back in the late 70’s, I remember my Aunt took my sister and I to see Paul McCartney concert film “Wings Across America” in 70mm Dolby Sound at this theatre. Never will forget it.
