Hi Steve Patrick,
If you would like information about the Norwalk Theatre please give us a call, we are the current owners. We do have it listed with a realtor, but are still operating it with about 1-3 events per month. We have no intention of closing it up as we are gaining some good momentum and a good following with the community. This theatre has tons of potential, we just live too far away to make it all happen. We have some wonderful, loyal volunteers in place that have been with us for about 3 years now. Our number is (269) 343-5932. We are open to creative ideas, such as leasing the theatre, partnering, etc. If anyone is interested please give us a call. Steve

Longislandmovies: I don’t understand your comment. Could you expand on your opinion? I have seen many articles on this website about local governments and private groups getting involved in helping to save their local, old theatres that sit on their Main streets. I think many people want an alternative to the multiplex, it just takes someone to ignite the fire and get the community on board with the vision. I know the community of Norwalk cares a lot about this old theatre!

Hi Schine Historian,
The Norwalk Theatre is still for sale, but still going strong. We are giving it all the love and respect that we can afford to at this time. Wish the Community would understand that giving the theatre love and respect is a two way street. They need to support what we are doing there in order to provide us with the funds to keep giving it love. Wish that for-profit entities could have access to the taxpayers money that non-profits do to be able to help with upkeep of this beautiful theatre. Anyone interested in purchasing the theatre can contact us at (269) 343-5932.

Hi Steve,
My husband and I are the owners of the Norwalk Theatre that you were once interested in purchasing. We are looking to sell the theatre and wondered if you are still interested? I am confident in saying that our asking price would be much lower than Towne & Country was asking for it. You can contact us at thanks!

Hello,
The Norwalk Theatre was purchased on November 14, 2006. The first event is December 14 with a Christmas concert with Country Music star John Berry. Tickets are on sale now. All premium seats are already sold but general seats still available for $25.00. Visit the website at www.norwalktheatre.com (theatre with “re”) or call box office at (419) 668-8048. The new owners are looking for ways to generate income with the live venue. Looking to continue with first and sometimes second run movies, but also 2 live events per month with something bigger every three months that would draw from surrounding areas. It is also available to non-profits to rent out for a fee + a small percentage for each ticket sold and the theatre keeps all concessions. If the person who posted above still wants to rent the theatre call the number above.
