The Dixie Theater, a popular site for movie-goers
was originally located in the middle of the Northwest
Broad Street block. The theater burned on a Valentine’s Day in the 1930s and was rebuilt at the end of the block.

1975 I am not sure of the opening because I move to Metter Ga. in 1975
Hi all the Oglethorpe theater was the first time I saw
a 007 movie and it was right at the mall I used to ride
my bike there to see movies

cinema my mom and dad would drop me and friends off
for a little time away from us kids.

Hi all I was a teenager when started go to the Statesboro
drive-in and yes there was a pool tables in the snack bar
had one of my first dates there I had a lot of fun on
sunday nights in the late 70s or 80s they added a backside screen and now its a parking lot for big trucks
to be unloaded at a business I love going there being
there with my friends.
