Here is a shot of the main lobby. This former UA cinema is not used much and sits closed many weekends and nights. They don’t even lite up the marquee to tell you whats coming up when they have nothing going on inside. It’s now owned by the folks that run the Fox Theatre in Redwood City CA. They tend to book this theatre in Monterey with tame music or performance artists shows. Very few DCP films are ever shown. Time to book more variety shows and keep the place open more. You will never find any rock shows booked here. I guess they want the inside to still look good and not trashed by rowdy music events.
