Did you hear there is a guy who was in the theatre that night and wants to sue the theatre…He wasn’t even hurt.
How do we know if he was even there…and in NY we thought our only problem was our nanny Mayor wants us to stop selling 32oz soda..
I do think Moviebuff82 is right…
Nice job…except for gate and flower urn, that what it looked like through the 70’s…I had new carpet put down from the box office area to all three floors and made over all the walls giving it the 1923 vibe..
Clearview aka Cablevision and throw in the mix Newsday,
wants to sell Clearview…any takers?
Clearview and Cable seemed of combo til' they bought Newsday..Lets hope the new owners take the OPT free movie night cards..
Have you ever checked out show at CM PERFORMING ARTS CENTER? AKA OAKDALE… they are never dark new shows every one to two weeks…It can happen..just need good bookers to fill gaps between artsy shows, if that’s a word.Smithtown is in a great spot to draw from N & S shore..
You’re right about Islip…Cable V who owns Clearview Theatres is selling them off..I hope at least someone from this country buys them…have you heard anything?
Thanks
Thanks Ed, that is what I was talking about. I don’t get confused, I know both theatres very well..Back to the utube video that started this conversation…pitch or slope what ever you want to call it, is there..again watch the floor where it meets the wall and follow it down…More important..who do ya’ll think will buy Clearview Cinemas?
The Squire was a car dealer show room before it was a theatre…The main floor was and is flat even after they diced it up…That being said…if you look at the youtube again, and look at where the floor and wall meet you can see the floor pitch down…Also some isles are not the same pitch as the seating area, you can see on the clip where they are standing..I don’t think you rule out movies ever being played there..
Thought the town didn’t want them….
Just put Great Waldo Pepper Marque photo and partial Program with guest list.
I love photos like that…thanks
I love the JAWS marque…I was MGR. during that time..My question is where did that photo come from and props to you…

Yes, I remember it..the walls looked like the inside of a poloroid [spell check if needed] camera..
