This theater was located on what is now a grass lot directly to the left of CajunXpress. I attended the theater when it was still called the Jan and had not yet been separated into two. In the late eighties I had the opportunity to go behind the screen after it was split and the old large screen was still there in perfect shape.
The Evangeline Club was closed in 1984 and demolished in 1988. Another old club was called Snooks Bar. It was located on the corner of Snooks Rd. and Main St. It can be seen in the aerial photo. It was lost to a fire I think in the late 90s.
