It’s the 21 November 1984 grand opening for the AMC Green Oaks 8 in Arlington, TX with 70mm projection, to boot. The theater circuit fulfilled what appears to be a 15-year lease and signed a contract almost 15 years to the date of opening Green Oaks announcing a megaplex to be housed inside of the nearby Parks at Arlington shopping mall to open in 2002. The beneficiary an exit away of the Green Oaks departure and emptiness for two years was the UA Bowen 8 which was on the project board to be expanded to a megaplex which never took place.
